Ensuring that we keep our families and communities safe will always be a key priority for me. That’s why I’ve worked with Cheshire Police to make sure we recruit extra police officers, we have the right laws in place and the police have the equipment they need to tackle crime.
In Cheshire we've seen crime cut by over 15% thanks to an additional 332 new police officers since 2019, meaning we now have more officers than at any time previously. Every community now has a dedicated Beat Manager PC working as part of the neighbourhood policing team to support local people and businesses.
Our police do incredible work day in and day out to respond to reports from residents and take more offenders off our streets. I'll carry on working closely with Cheshire Constabulary to ensure they have all the support they need from the Government so they can continue protecting our local communities.
